Leviticus 25:3

Six years thou shalt sow thy field
Under which is comprehended everything relating to agriculture, both before and after sowing, as dunging the land, ploughing and harrowing it, treading the corn, reaping and gathering it in; see ( Exodus 23:10 ) ;

and six years thou shall prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit
thereof;
which is not to be restrained to vineyards only, but to be extended to oliveyards, orchards and gardens, and to the planting and cultivating of them, and gathering in the fruits of them.

1 El año de descanso
Cuando Moisés estaba en el monte Sinaí, el Señor
le dijo:

2 «Da las siguientes instrucciones al pueblo de Israel: cuando hayas entrado en la tierra que te doy, la tierra misma deberá guardar un año de descanso ante el Señor
cada siete años.

3 Durante seis años podrás sembrar tus campos, podar tus viñedos y recoger tus cosechas,

4 pero durante el séptimo año la tierra deberá tener un año completo para descansar. Es el descanso del Señor
. No siembres tus campos ni podes tus viñedos durante ese año.

5 No almacenes las cosechas que crezcan por sí solas ni recojas las uvas de tus vides no podadas. La tierra deberá tener un año completo para descansar.
