Salmos 22:18

18 Se reparten mi vestimenta entre ellos
y tiran los dados
por mi ropa.

Salmos 22:18 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 22:18

They part my garments among them
Such as died the death of the cross were crucified naked F8, and their clothes were the perquisites of the executioners; there were four soldiers concerned in the crucifixion of Christ, and these parted his garments into four parts, and everyone took his part;

and cast lots on my vesture;
which was a seamless coat, wove from the top to the bottom; and therefore, not willing to rend it, they cast lots upon it who should have it; all this was exactly fulfilled in Christ, ( John 19:23 John 19:24 ) .

Salmos 22:18 In-Context

16 Mis enemigos me rodean como una jauría de perros;
una pandilla de malvados me acorrala;
han atravesado mis manos y mis pies.
17 Puedo contar cada uno de mis huesos;
mis enemigos me miran fijamente y se regodean.
18 Se reparten mi vestimenta entre ellos
y tiran los dados
por mi ropa.
19 ¡Oh Señor
, no te quedes lejos!
Tú eres mi fuerza, ¡ven pronto en mi auxilio!
20 Sálvame de la espada;
libra mi preciosa vida de estos perros.
