Salmos 69:20

20 Sus insultos me han destrozado el corazón,
y estoy desesperado.
Si al menos una persona me tuviera compasión;
si tan solo alguien volviera y me consolara.

Salmos 69:20 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 69:20

Reproach hath broken my heart
This was his case when his soul was exceeding sorrowful unto death, and his heart like wax melted in the midst of his bows is, ( Matthew 26:38 ) ( Psalms 22:14 ) ;

and I am full of heaviness;
as he was in the garden, ( Mark 14:33 ) ; or, "very sick, [yea], incurably sick", as the word F7 signifies; see ( 2 Samuel 12:15 ) ( Jeremiah 30:12 Jeremiah 30:15 ) . For what cure is there for a broken heart?

and I looked [for some] to take pity, but [there was] none; and for
comforters, but I found none:
his disciples forsook him and fled; the priests, scribes, and common people, that attended him at the cross, mocking him; the thieves that were crucified with him reviled him; and his Father hid his face from him; only a few women stood afar off and lamented.

Salmos 69:20 In-Context

18 Ven y rescátame,
líbrame de mis enemigos.
19 Tú conoces mi vergüenza, mi desprecio y mi deshonra;
ves todo lo que hacen mis enemigos.
20 Sus insultos me han destrozado el corazón,
y estoy desesperado.
Si al menos una persona me tuviera compasión;
si tan solo alguien volviera y me consolara.
21 En cambio, de comida, me dan veneno
y me ofrecen vino agrio para la sed.
22 Que la abundante mesa servida ante ellos se convierta en una trampa,
y que su prosperidad se vuelva un engaño.
