1 Chronicles 23:1

So when David was old and full of days
Perhaps was now in the last year of his age, about seventy years old, though before he was bedridden; see ( 1 Chronicles 28:2 ) ,

he made Solomon his son king over Israel;
declared him to be his successor; this was before the affair of Adonijah, for then he ordered him to be anointed king, and placed on the throne; and this aggravated the rebellion of Adonijah, that it was against the declared and known will of his father.

1 David era muy anciano cuando declar贸 a su hijo Salom贸n rey de Israel.
2 Reuni贸 a todos los jefes de Israel, y a los sacerdotes y levitas.
3 Entonces contaron a los levitas que ten铆an m谩s de treinta a帽os, y result贸 que eran en total treinta y ocho mil hombres.
4 De estos, veinticuatro mil estaban a cargo del trabajo del templo del SE脩OR, seis mil eran oficiales y jueces,
5 cuatro mil eran porteros, y los otros cuatro mil estaban encargados de alabar al SE脩OR con los instrumentos musicales que David hab铆a ordenado hacer para ese prop贸sito.
