Hijos de David

1 Estos fueron los hijos de David nacidos en Hebrón:Su primogénito fue Amón hijo de Ajinoán la jezrelita;el segundo, Daniel hijo de Abigaíl de Carmel;

2 el tercero, Absalón hijo de Macá, la hija del rey Talmay de Guesur;el cuarto, Adonías hijo de Jaguit;

3 el quinto, Sefatías hijo de Abital;y el sexto, Itreán hijo de Eglá, que era otra esposa de David.

4 Estos seis le nacieron en Hebrón, donde reinó siete años y seis meses. En Jerusalén reinó treinta y tres años.

5 Allí le nacieron Simá, Sobab, Natán y Salomón, hijos de Betsabé,^[a] la hija de Amiel.

6 Tuvo también a Ibjar, Elisama, Elifelet,

7 Noga, Néfeg, Jafía,

8 Elisama, Eliadá y Elifelet; nueve en total.

9 Todos estos fueron hijos de David, sin contar los hijos que tuvo con sus concubinas. La hermana de ellos fue Tamar.

Descendientes de Salomón

10 Estos fueron los descendientes de Salomón en línea directa: Roboán, Abías, Asá, Josafat,

11 Jorán, Ocozías, Joás,

12 Amasías, Azarías, Jotán,

13 Acaz, Ezequías, Manasés,

14 Amón y Josías.

15 Los hijos de Josías fueron:Johanán, el primero;Joacim, el segundo;Sedequías, el tercero,y Salún, el cuarto.

16 Los hijos de Joacim fueron Jeconías y Sedequías.

17 Los hijos de Jeconías, el desterrado, fueron Salatiel,

18 Malquirán, Pedaías, Senazar, Jecamías, Hosamá y Nedabías.

19 Los hijos de Pedaías fueron Zorobabel y Simí.Los hijos de Zorobabel fueron Mesulán y Jananías; Selomit fue hermana de ellos.

20 Tuvo también estos cinco: Jasubá, Ohel, Berequías, Jasadías y Yusab Jésed.

21 Los descendientes de Jananías fueron Pelatías e Isaías, y también los hijos de Refaías, los de Arnán, los de Abdías y los de Secanías.

22 Los descendientes de Secanías fueron Semaías y sus hijos Jatús, Igal, Barías, Nearías y Safat; seis en total.

23 Los hijos de Nearías fueron Elihoenay, Ezequías y Azricán; tres en total.

24 Los hijos de Elihoenay fueron Hodavías, Eliasib, Pelaías, Acub, Johanán, Delaías y Ananí; siete en total.

Chapter 3

Genealogies.

- Of all the families of Israel, none were so illustrious as the family of David: here we have a full account of it. From this family, as concerning the flesh, Christ came. The attentive observer will perceive that the children of the righteous enjoy many advantages.

This chapter gives an account of the sons of David, born to him both in Hebron and in Jerusalem, 1Ch 3:1-9, and of his successors in the kingdom, to the Babylonish captivity, 1Ch 3:10-16, and of his family, to the coming of the Messiah, 1Ch 3:17-24.
