Un profeta condena a Acab

35 En obediencia a la palabra del SEÑOR, un miembro de la comunidad de profetas le dijo a otro:—¡Golpéame!Pero aquel se negó a hacerlo.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets
Which the Jews take to be Micaiah, and so Josephus ^F21, which is probable; the same that had been with Ahab more than once; and, whoever he was, it is not unlikely that he was the same, since Ahab knew him when his disguise was off, ( 1 Kings 20:41 ) ,

said unto his neighbour, in the word of the Lord, smite me, I pray
thee;
told his neighbour, that by the command of God he was ordered to bid him smite him, so as to wound him:

and the man refused to smite him;
being his neighbour, and perhaps a fellow prophet, and having an affection for him.

33 Los hombres tomaron esa respuesta como un buen augurio y, aprovechando la ocasión, exclamaron:—¡Claro que sí, Ben Adad es su hermano!—Vayan por él —dijo el rey.Cuando Ben Adad se presentó ante Acab, este lo hizo subir a su carro de combate. Entonces Ben Adad le propuso:

34 —Te devolveré las ciudades que mi padre le quitó al tuyo, y podrás establecer zonas de mercado en Damasco, como lo hizo mi padre en Samaria.Acab le respondió:—Sobre esa base, te dejaré en libertad.Y así firmó un tratado con él, y lo dejó ir.

35 En obediencia a la palabra del SEÑOR, un miembro de la comunidad de profetas le dijo a otro:—¡Golpéame!Pero aquel se negó a hacerlo.

36 Entonces el profeta dijo:—Por cuanto no has obedecido al SEÑOR, tan pronto como nos separemos te matará un león.Y después de que el profeta se fue, un león le salió al paso y lo mató.

37 Más adelante, el mismo profeta encontró a otro hombre y le dijo: «¡Golpéame!» Así que el hombre lo golpeó y lo hirió.
