1 En el a帽o dieciocho de Josafat, rey de Jud谩, Jor谩n hijo de Acab ascendi贸 al trono de Israel en Samaria, y rein贸 doce a帽os.

Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in
Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah
So that the two years of the reign of his brother Ahaziah were not complete, only part of the seventeenth and part of the eighteenth of Jehoshaphat, since he began to reign in his seventeenth year, at the beginning of that, and died towards the close of the eighteenth, when Jehoram succeeded him, see ( 1 Kings 22:51 ) , and reigned twelve years.

1 En el a帽o dieciocho de Josafat, rey de Jud谩, Jor谩n hijo de Acab ascendi贸 al trono de Israel en Samaria, y rein贸 doce a帽os.
2 Jor谩n hizo lo que ofende al SE脩OR, aunque no tanto como su padre y su madre, pues mand贸 que se quitara una piedra sagrada que su padre hab铆a erigido en honor de Baal.
3 Sin embargo, Jor谩n se aferr贸 a los mismos pecados con que Jerobo谩n hijo de Nabat hab铆a hecho pecar a los israelitas, pues no se apart贸 de esos pecados.
4 Ahora bien, Mes谩, rey de Moab, criaba ovejas, y como tributo anual le entregaba al rey de Israel cien mil ovejas y la lana de cien mil corderos.
5 Pero al morir Acab, el rey de Moab se rebel贸 contra el rey de Israel.
