31 Entonces el SEÑOR me dijo: “Ahora mismo voy a entregarles a Sijón y su país. Láncense a conquistarlo, y tomen posesión de su territorio”.

Deuteronomy 2:31

And the Lord said unto me
After or about the time when the messengers were sent to Sihon, perhaps when they had returned and had brought his answer:

behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee;
by hardening his heart, which was a sure token of his ruin, and a leading step to the delivery of him into the hands of Israel:

begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land;
move towards it and enter into it, not fearing any opposition made by him.

29 tal como nos lo permitieron los descendientes de Esaú, que viven en Seír, y los moabitas, que viven en Ar. Necesitamos cruzar el Jordán para entrar en la tierra que nos da el SEÑOR nuestro Dios”.
30 »Pero Sijón, rey de Hesbón, se negó a dejarnos pasar por allí, porque el SEÑOR nuestro Dios había ofuscado su espíritu y endurecido su corazón, para hacerlo súbdito nuestro, como lo es hasta hoy.
31 Entonces el SEÑOR me dijo: “Ahora mismo voy a entregarles a Sijón y su país. Láncense a conquistarlo, y tomen posesión de su territorio”.
32 »Cuando Sijón, acompañado de todo su ejército, salió a combatirnos en Yahaza,
33 el SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos lo entregó y lo derrotamos, junto con sus hijos y todo su ejército.
