Deuteronomy 4:44

And this is the law which Moses set before the children of
Israel.
] Not the law concerning the cities of refuge, but the law of the ten commands repeated in the following chapter; so Jarchi remarks,

``this which he should set in order after this section;''

as he does in the next chapter, where he repeats in order the ten precepts, and makes observations on the manner of the delivery of them, and urges obedience to them.

42 para que en alguna de ellas pudiera refugiarse el que, sin premeditación ni rencor alguno, hubiera matado a su prójimo. De este modo tendría a dónde huir para ponerse a salvo.

43 Para los rubenitas designó Béser en el desierto, en la planicie; para los gaditas, Ramot de Galaad; y para los manasesitas, Golán de Basán.

45 Estos son los mandatos, preceptos y normas que Moisés les dictó después de que salieron de Egipto,

46 cuando todavía estaban al este del Jordán, en el valle cercano a Bet Peor. Era la tierra de Sijón, rey de los amorreos, que vivía en Hesbón y que había sido derrotado por Moisés y los israelitas cuando salieron de Egipto.
