Isaiah 2:1

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw
That is, the vision which he saw, for a new one here begins, though agreeable to what goes before; or the prophecy of future things, which he had given to him in a visionary way. The Targum paraphrases it,

``the word of prophecy, which Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prophesied:''

or the thing, the "decree", as some choose to render it, the purpose of God concerning things to come, which was revealed to the prophet, and he here declares:

concerning Judah and Jerusalem;
the church and people of God, and what should befall them and their enemies in the latter day: this inscription stands for this and the three following chapters.

1 Palabra que Isaías hijo de Amoz recibió en visión acerca de Judá y Jerusalén:
2 En los últimos días,el monte de la casa del SEÑOR será establecidocomo el más alto de los montes;se alzará por encima de las colinas,y hacia él confluirán todas las naciones.
3 Muchos pueblos vendrán y dirán:«¡Vengan, subamos al monte del SEÑOR,a la casa del Dios de Jacob!,para que nos enseñe sus caminosy andemos por sus sendas».Porque de Sión saldrá la ley,de Jerusalén, la palabra del SEÑOR.
4 Él juzgará entre las nacionesy será árbitro de muchos pueblos.Convertirán sus espadas en aradosy sus lanzas en hoces.No levantará espada nación contra nación,y nunca más se adiestrarán para la guerra.
5 ¡Ven, pueblo de Jacob,y caminemos a la luz del SEÑOR!
