And the children of Israel rose up in the morning
After they had had counsel at Shiloh, and which perhaps was by a deputation sent thither:

and encamped against Gibeah:
formed a camp near Gibeah of 360,000 men, enough to have stormed and taken that city at once, one would think.

17 Israel, sin contar a Benjamín, movilizó a cuatrocientos mil soldados armados de espada, todos ellos expertos guerreros.
18 Los israelitas subieron a Betel y consultaron a Dios. Le preguntaron:—¿Cuál de nosotros será el primero en combatir a los de la tribu de Benjamín?El SEÑOR respondió:—Judá será el primero.
19 Los israelitas se levantaron temprano y acamparon frente a Guibeá;
20 salieron a luchar contra los de Benjamín, y frente a Guibeá se dispusieron contra ellos en orden de batalla.
21 Pero los de Benjamín salieron de Guibeá y abatieron aquel día a veintidós mil israelitas en el campo de batalla.
