Nehemías 3:8

8 Uziel hijo de Jaraías, que era uno de los plateros, reconstruyó el siguiente tramo de la muralla, y uno de los perfumistas, llamado Jananías, el siguiente. Entre los dos reconstruyeron la muralla de Jerusalén hasta la muralla Ancha.

Nehemiah 3:8

Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the
goldsmiths
Or Tzorephim, which, according to Jarchi, was the name of a family so called from their trade and business:

next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the
apothecaries;
or confectioners, which also might be the name of a family so called for the same reason:

and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall;
which reached from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, which was broken down by Joash, king of Israel, but was rebuilt so strong by Uzziah, king of Judah, that it stood firm to this time; wherefore these men repaired up to it, but left that as they found it; see ( 2 Chronicles 25:23 ) ( 26:9 ) , and were not careful to repair it, it not wanting any repair.

6 La puerta de Jesaná la reconstruyeron Joyadá hijo de Paseaj y Mesulán hijo de Besodías. Colocaron las vigas y pusieron en su lugar la puerta con sus cerrojos y barras.

7 El tramo contiguo lo reconstruyeron Melatías de Gabaón y Jadón de Meronot. A estos se les unieron los de Gabaón y los de Mizpa, que estaban bajo el dominio del gobernador de la provincia al oeste del río Éufrates.

9 El siguiente tramo lo reconstruyó Refaías hijo de Jur, que era gobernador de una mitad del distrito de Jerusalén;

10 el siguiente, Jedaías hijo de Jarumaf, cuya casa quedaba al frente, y el siguiente, Jatús hijo de Jasabnías.
