El Señor promete bendecir a Jerusalén

1 Otra vez vino a mí la palabra del SEÑORTodopoderoso. Me hizo saber lo siguiente:

Zechariah 8:1

Again the word of the Lord of hosts came [to me] saying.
] The phrase, "to me", is wanting in the Hebrew text; and is the only place it is wanting in, as the Masora observes; though undoubtedly it is to be understood; and therefore is rightly supplied, as it is by the Targum, "with me". Mention being made in the latter part of the preceding chapter ( Zechariah 7:8-14 ) of the desolations of the earth, comfort is here administered, as Aben Ezra notes.

2 «Así dice el SEÑOR Todopoderoso:»“Siento grandes celos por Sión.Son tantos mis celos por ellaque me llenan de furia”.
3 »Así dice el SEÑOR:»“Regresaré a Sión,y habitaré en Jerusalén.Y Jerusalén será conocidacomo la Ciudad de la Verdad,y el monte del SEÑOR Todopoderosocomo el Monte de la Santidad”.
4 »Así dice el SEÑOR Todopoderoso:»“Los ancianos y las ancianas volverán a sentarseen las calles de Jerusalén,cada uno con su bastón en la manodebido a su avanzada edad.
5 Los niños y las niñas volverán a jugaren las calles de la ciudad”.
