A Revolta de Israel contra Roboão

1 Roboão foi a Siquém, onde todos os israelitas tinham se reunido para proclamá-lo rei.

2 Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, tinha fugido do rei Salomão e estava no Egito. Assim que soube da reunião em Siquém, voltou do Egito.

3 E mandaram chamá-lo. Então ele e todo o Israel foram ao encontro de Roboão e disseram:

This chapter is not only in sense the same, but is expressed almost in the selfsame words as First Kings chapter twelve, verses one through nineteen, so there needs not anything to be added to the notes there, which the reader is referred to.
