So the people rested on the seventh day.
] Did not attempt to go out of their tents in quest of manna, as on other days, and observed it as a day of rest from labour, and so they continued to do in successive generations.

28 EntĂŁo o SENHOR disse a MoisĂ©s: “AtĂ© quando vocĂȘs se recusarĂŁo a obedecer aos meus mandamentos e Ă s minhas instruçÔes?
29 Vejam que o SENHOR deu o sĂĄbado a vocĂȘs; por isso, no sexto dia, ele lhes envia pĂŁo para dois dias. No sĂ©timo dia, fiquem todos onde estiverem; ninguĂ©m deve sair”.
30 Então o povo descansou no sétimo dia.
31 O povo de Israel chamou manĂĄ Ă quele pĂŁo. Era branco como semente de coentro e tinha gosto de bolo de mel.
32 Disse MoisĂ©s: “O SENHOR ordenou a vocĂȘs que recolham um jarro de manĂĄ e que o guardem para as futuras geraçÔes, ‘para que vejam o pĂŁo que lhes dei no deserto, quando os tirei do Egito’.”
