Isaiah 24:3

The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled,
&c.] Entirely emptied of its inhabitants, and wholly spoiled of its riches and substance; this is repeated, and with greater strength, to confirm what is before said, and which receives a greater confirmation by what follows: for the Lord hath spoken this word;
who is able to perform it, and who is faithful to his threatenings, as to his promises; not a word of his shall ever fail; the judgments threatened to the antichristian world are his true and faithful sayings; and the ruin of Rome is certain, because strong is the Lord that judgeth her, ( Revelation 18:8 ) .

1 Vejam! O SENHOR vai arrasar a terrae devastá-la;arruinará sua superfíciee espalhará seus habitantes.

2 Será o mesmopara o sacerdote e o povo,para o senhor e o servo,para a senhora e a serva,para o vendedor e o comprador,para quem toma emprestado e quem empresta,para o devedor e o credor.

3 A terra será completamente arrasadae totalmente saqueada.Quem falou esta palavra foi o SENHOR.

4 A terra seca-se e murcha,o mundo definha e murcha,definham os nobres da terra.

5 A terra está contaminada pelos seus habitantes,porque desobedeceram às leis,violaram os decretose quebraram a aliança eterna.
