13 Então Moabe se decepcionará com Camos,assim como Israelse decepcionou com Betel, em quem confiava.

Jeremiah 48:13

And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh
His idol; see ( Jeremiah 48:7 ) ; of his worship of him, prayers to him, and confidence in him; he not being able to save him from the destruction of the Chaldeans, and being carried captive by them; he himself also going into captivity: as the house of Israel were ashamed of Bethel their confidence;
that is, of the golden calf that was set up in Bethel by Jeroboam, and which the ten tribes of Israel worshipped, and in which they trusted; but that could not save them from being carried captive by the Assyrians; and so were ashamed of it, and of their idolatrous worship, and vain confidence.

11 “Moabe tem estado tranquila desde a sua juventude,como o vinho deixado com os seus resíduos;não foi mudada de vasilha em vasilha.Nunca foi para o exílio;por isso, o seu sabor permanece o mesmoe o seu cheiro não mudou.

12 Portanto, certamente vêm os dias”,declara o SENHOR,“quando enviarei decantadoresque a decantarão;esvaziarão as suas jarrase as despedaçarão.

13 Então Moabe se decepcionará com Camos,assim como Israelse decepcionou com Betel, em quem confiava.

14 “Como vocês podem dizer: ‘Somos guerreiros,somos homens de guerra’?

15 Moabe foi destruída e suas cidades serão invadidas;o melhor dos seus jovens desceu para a matança”,declara o Rei, cujo nome é SENHOR dos Exércitos.
