O Reinado de Peca, Rei de Israel

27 No quinquagésimo segundo ano do reinado de Azarias, rei de Judá, Peca, filho de Remalias, tornou-se rei de Israel em Samaria e reinou vinte anos.
28 Ele fez o que o SENHOR reprova. Não se desviou dos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, levara Israel a cometer.
29 Durante o seu reinado, Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, invadiu e conquistou Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maaca, Janoa, Quedes e Hazor. Tomou Gileade e a Galileia, inclusive toda a terra de Naftali, e deportou o povo para a Assíria.
30 Então Oseias, filho de Elá, conspirou contra Peca, filho de Remalias. Ele o atacou e o assassinou, tornando-se o seu sucessor no vigésimo ano do reinado de Jotão, filho de Uzias.
31 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Peca e todas as suas realizações estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 15

This chapter begins with the reign of Azariah king of Judah, 2Ki 15:1-7, and then gives a short account of the several kings of Israel, to the last of them; of Zachariah, 2Ki 15:8-12, of Shallum, 2Ki 15:13,14,15 of Menahem, 2Ki 15:16-22 of Pekahiah, 2Ki 15:23-26, of Pekah, succeeded by Hoshea, the last of them, 2Ki 15:27-31, and is included with the reign of Jotham king of Judah, 2Ki 15:32-38.
