Shemot 25:25

25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown on the rim thereof round about.

Shemot 25:25 Meaning and Commentary

Exodus 25:25

And thou shalt make unto it a border of art hand's breadth
round about
Jarchi says, their wise men are divided about this; some say it was above, round about the table; others say it was below, fixed from foot to foot at the four corners of the table, and the board of the table lay upon the border:

and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about;
this was not the same spoke of in the former verse, but another; that was above, and upon the table, this below and under it; or rather that was, as it may be better expressed, a lip, rim, or border, that went round within the table F21; and this crown, surrounded that on the edge of it.

25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown on the rim thereof round about.
26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of zahav, and place the rings in the four corners that are on the four legs thereof.
27 Over against the rim shall the rings be for holders of the poles to carry the Shulchan.
