Tite 2:6 Meaning and Commentary

Titus 2:6

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
] Temperate, chaste, modest, moderate, wise, and prudent in all things: this is said to Titus, as being his province to instruct and exhort the young men; as it were proper and convenient for aged women to teach the young women how they should behave and conduct themselves.

4 Afin qu'elles apprennent aux jeunes Ă  aimer leurs maris, Ă  aimer leurs enfants;
5 A ĂȘtre sages, chastes, Ă  garder la maison; Ă  ĂȘtre bonnes, soumises Ă  leurs maris; afin que la parole de Dieu ne soit point calomniĂ©e.
6 Exhorte de mĂȘme les jeunes hommes Ă  ĂȘtre sages,
7 Donnant toi-mĂȘme en toutes choses l'exemple des bonnes Ɠuvres, par la puretĂ© de la doctrine et la gravitĂ©,
8 Une parole saine, irréprochable, afin que les adversaires soient confondus, n'ayant aucun mal à dire de vous.
