NIV 44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king. MSG 45 Jobab died; Husham from the country of the Temanites was the next king. NIV 45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king. MSG 46 Husham died; Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, was the next king; his city was Avith. NIV 46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith. MSG 47 Hadad died; Samlah from Masrekah was the next king. NIV 47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king. MSG 48 Samlah died; Shaul from Rehoboth-by-the-River was the next king. NIV 48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river succeeded him as king. MSG 49 Shaul died; Baal-Hanan son of Acbor was the next king. MSG 50 Baal-Hanan died; Hadad was the next king; his city was Pau and his wife was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. NIV 50 When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. MSG 51 Last of all Hadad died. NIV 51 Hadad also died. The chiefs of Edom were: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, MSG 52 Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon, NIV 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, MSG 53 Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar, NIV 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, MSG 54 Chief Magdiel, and Chief Iram.
