WYC 4 Noe, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. NIV 4 The sons of Noah:Shem, Ham and Japheth. WYC 5 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, and Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. NIV 5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras. WYC 6 Forsooth the sons of Gomer were Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. NIV 6 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah. WYC 7 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. NIV 7 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites. WYC 8 The sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. NIV 8 The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan. WYC 9 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah were Sheba, and Dedan. NIV 9 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah and Sabteka. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. WYC 10 And Cush begat Nimrod; this Nimrod began to be mighty in [the] earth. NIV 10 Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on earth. WYC 11 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, NIV 11 Egypt was the father of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, WYC 12 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, of which the Philistines and Caphthorim went out, or came. (and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, and Caphthorim, from whom the Philistines came.) NIV 12 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites. WYC 13 And Canaan begat Sidon, his first begotten son (his first-born son), and Heth, NIV 13 Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites, WYC 14 and (the) Jebusite, and Amorite, and Girgashite, NIV 14 Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, WYC 15 and Hivite, and Arkite, and Sinite, NIV 15 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, WYC 16 and Arvadite, and Zemarite, and Hamathite. NIV 16 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. WYC 17 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. And the sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech. NIV 17 The sons of Shem: Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram. The sons of Aram:Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek. WYC 18 And Arphaxad begat Shelah; which himself engendered Eber. (And Arphaxad begat Shelah; and Shelah begat Eber.) NIV 18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah the father of Eber. WYC 19 And to Eber were born two sons; the name of [the] one was Peleg, for the land was parted in his days (for the land was divided in his days); and the name of his brother was Joktan. NIV 19 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan. WYC 20 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, NIV 20 Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, WYC 21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, NIV 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, WYC 22 Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba, NIV 22 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, WYC 23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. NIV 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan. WYC 24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, NIV 24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, WYC 25 Eber, Peleg, Reu, NIV 25 Eber, Peleg, Reu, WYC 26 Serug, Nahor, Terah, NIV 26 Serug, Nahor, Terah WYC 27 Abram; this is Abraham. NIV 27 and Abram (that is, Abraham). WYC 28 The sons of Abraham were Isaac, and Ishmael. NIV 28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael. WYC 29 And these be the generations of them; the first begotten of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, (And these be their descendants; the first-born son of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,) NIV 29 These were their descendants: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, WYC 30 and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, Hadad, and Tema, NIV 30 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, WYC 31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah; these be the sons of Ishmael. NIV 31 Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael. WYC 32 And the sons of Keturah, the secondary wife of Abraham, the which she engendered, or conceived, were Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan were Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. NIV 32 The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan. WYC 33 And the sons of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah. NIV 33 The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah. WYC 34 Forsooth Abraham begat Isaac; whose sons were Esau, and Israel (whose sons were Esau, and Jacob). NIV 34 Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel. WYC 35 The sons of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. NIV 35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam and Korah. WYC 36 The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek. NIV 36 The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz; by Timna: Amalek. WYC 37 The sons of Reuel were Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. NIV 37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. WYC 38 The sons of Seir were Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezar, and Dishan. NIV 38 The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. WYC 39 The sons of Lotan were Hori, and Homam; soothly the sister of Lotan was Timna. NIV 39 The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister. WYC 40 The sons of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, and Shephi, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon were Aiah, and Anah. NIV 40 The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. WYC 41 The son of Anah was Dishon. The sons of Dishon were Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. NIV 41 The son of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Keran. WYC 42 The sons of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan were Uz and Aran. NIV 42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.The sons of Dishan : Uz and Aran. WYC 43 These be the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before that a king was on the sons of Israel (before that the Israelites had a king). Bela, the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah. NIV 43 These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned: Bela son of Beor, whose city was named Dinhabah. WYC 44 And when Bela was dead, and Jobab (then Jobab), the son of Zerah of Bozrah, reigned for him. NIV 44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king. WYC 45 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of Temanites reigned for him. NIV 45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded him as king. WYC 46 And Husham died; and Hadad, the son of Bedad, that smote Midian in the land of Moab, reigned for him; and the name of the city of Hadad was Avith. NIV 46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith. WYC 47 And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned for him. NIV 47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king. WYC 48 But also Samlah was dead, and Saul of Rehoboth, which is set beside the river, reigned for him. (And when Samlah died, Saul of the city of Rehoboth, that is set on the banks of the river, reigned for him.) NIV 48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river succeeded him as king. WYC 49 Also when Saul was dead (And when Saul died), Baalhanan, the son of Achbor, reigned for him. NIV 49 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Akbor succeeded him as king. WYC 50 But also he was dead, and Hadad, the name of whose city was Pai, reigned for him (And when Baalhanan died, Hadad reigned for him; and his city was named Pai); and his wife was called Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab. NIV 50 When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. WYC 51 And when Hadad was dead, dukes began to be in Edom for kings (And after Hadad died, the leaders of Edom, or of Idumea, were these); duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth, NIV 51 Hadad also died. The chiefs of Edom were: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, WYC 52 duke Oholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon, NIV 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, WYC 53 duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar, NIV 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, WYC 54 duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These were the dukes of Edom (These were the chiefs, or the leaders, of Idumea). NIV 54 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
