1 Corinthians 16

VULA 1 de collectis autem quae fiunt in sanctos sicut ordinavi ecclesiis Galatiae ita et vos facite NIV 1 Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. VULA 2 per unam sabbati unusquisque vestrum apud se ponat recondens quod ei beneplacuerit ut non cum venero tunc collectae fiant NIV 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. VULA 3 cum autem praesens fuero quos probaveritis per epistulas hos mittam perferre gratiam vestram in Hierusalem NIV 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. VULA 4 quod si dignum fuerit ut et ego eam mecum ibunt NIV 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me. VULA 5 veniam autem ad vos cum Macedoniam pertransiero nam Macedoniam pertransibo NIV 5 After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia. VULA 6 apud vos autem forsitan manebo vel etiam hiemabo ut vos me deducatis quocumque iero NIV 6 Perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. VULA 7 nolo enim vos modo in transitu videre spero enim me aliquantum temporis manere apud vos si Dominus permiserit NIV 7 For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. VULA 8 permanebo autem Ephesi usque ad pentecosten NIV 8 But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, VULA 9 ostium enim mihi apertum est magnum et evidens et adversarii multi NIV 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. VULA 10 si autem venerit Timotheus videte ut sine timore sit apud vos opus enim Domini operatur sicut et ego NIV 10 When Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. VULA 11 ne quis ergo illum spernat deducite autem illum in pace ut veniat ad me expecto enim illum cum fratribus NIV 11 No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers. VULA 12 de Apollo autem fratre multum rogavi eum ut veniret ad vos cum fratribus et utique non fuit voluntas ut nunc veniret veniet autem cum ei vacuum fuerit NIV 12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity. VULA 13 vigilate state in fide viriliter agite et confortamini NIV 13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. VULA 14 omnia vestra in caritate fiant NIV 14 Do everything in love. VULA 15 obsecro autem vos fratres nostis domum Stephanae et Fortunati quoniam sunt primitiae Achaiae et in ministerium sanctorum ordinaverunt se ipsos NIV 15 You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters, VULA 16 ut et vos subditi sitis eiusmodi et omni cooperanti et laboranti NIV 16 to submit to such people and to everyone who joins in the work and labors at it. VULA 17 gaudeo autem in praesentia Stephanae et Fortunati et Achaici quoniam id quod vobis deerat ipsi suppleverunt NIV 17 I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. VULA 18 refecerunt enim et meum spiritum et vestrum cognoscite ergo qui eiusmodi sunt NIV 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition. VULA 19 salutant vos ecclesiae Asiae salutant vos in Domino multum Aquila et Prisca cum domestica sua ecclesia NIV 19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. VULA 20 salutant vos fratres omnes salutate invicem in osculo sancto NIV 20 All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. VULA 21 salutatio mea manu Pauli NIV 21 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. VULA 22 si quis non amat Dominum Iesum Christum sit anathema maranatha NIV 22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord ! VULA 23 gratia Domini Iesu vobiscum NIV 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. VULA 24 caritas mea cum omnibus vobis in Christo Iesu amen NIV 24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
