1 Corinthians 2:6-9

NLT 6 Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. NIV 6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. NLT 7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God —his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. NIV 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. NLT 8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. NIV 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
