2 Corinthians 9:6-9

NLT 6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. NIV 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. NLT 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” NIV 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. NLT 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. NIV 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. NLT 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” NIV 9 As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”
