2 Kings 15:1-7

ESV 1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah the son of Amaziah, king of Judah, began to reign. NIV 1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign. ESV 2 He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. NIV 2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jekoliah; she was from Jerusalem. ESV 3 And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. NIV 3 He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done. ESV 4 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places. NIV 4 The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there. ESV 5 And the LORD touched the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and he lived in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the household, governing the people of the land. NIV 5 The LORD afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, and he lived in a separate house. Jotham the king’s son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land. ESV 6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? NIV 6 As for the other events of Azariah’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? ESV 7 And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Jotham his son reigned in his place. NIV 7 Azariah rested with his ancestors and was buried near them in the City of David. And Jotham his son succeeded him as king.
