2 Kings 15:32-38

NLT 32 Jotham son of Uzziah began to rule over Judah in the second year of King Pekah’s reign in Israel. NIV 32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign. NLT 33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok. NIV 33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok. NLT 34 Jotham did what was pleasing in the LORD ’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done. NIV 34 He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done. NLT 35 But he did not destroy the pagan shrines, and the people still offered sacrifices and burned incense there. He rebuilt the upper gate of the Temple of the LORD . NIV 35 The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the temple of the LORD. NLT 36 The rest of the events in Jotham’s reign and everything he did are recorded in NIV 36 As for the other events of Jotham’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? NLT 37 In those days the LORD began to send King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah of Israel to attack Judah. NIV 37 (In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.) NLT 38 When Jotham died, he was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. And his son Ahaz became the next king. NIV 38 Jotham rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the City of David, the city of his father. And Ahaz his son succeeded him as king.
