The LORD also declares to you that the LORD will make a house for you. NIV 11 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies. “ ‘The LORD declares to you that the LORD himself will establish a house for you: NAS 12 "When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. NIV 12 When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. NAS 16 "Your house and your kingdom shall endure before Me forever ; your throne shall be established forever .""' NIV 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me ; your throne will be established forever.’ ” NAS 17 In accordance with all these words and all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. NAS 18 Then David the king went in and sat before the LORD , and he said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far? NIV 18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? NAS 19 "And yet this was insignificant in Your eyes, O Lord GOD, for You have spoken also of the house of Your servant concerning the distant future. And this is the custom of man, O Lord GOD. NIV 19 And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign LORD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree, Sovereign LORD, is for a mere human! NIV 23 And who is like your people Israel—the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt? NAS 24 "For You have established for Yourself Your people Israel as Your own people forever , and You, O LORD , have become their God. NIV 24 You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, LORD, have become their God. NAS 27 "For You, O LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have made a revelation to Your servant, saying, 'I will build you a house '; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to You. NAS 29 "Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord GOD, have spoken; and with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever."
