WEB 1 Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan, WEB 2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the hinder sea, NIV 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea, WEB 3 and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar. NIV 3 the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. WEB 4 Yahweh said to him, This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there. NIV 4 Then the LORD said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.” WEB 5 So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Yahweh. NIV 5 And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. WEB 6 He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day. NIV 6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is. WEB 7 Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. NIV 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone. WEB 8 The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. NIV 8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over. WEB 9 Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: and the children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses. NIV 9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses. WEB 10 There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face, NIV 10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, WEB 11 in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, NIV 11 who did all those signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. WEB 12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses worked in the sight of all Israel.
