NIV 9 “You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. NIRV 10 The good news has to be preached to all nations before the end comes. NIV 10 And the gospel must first be preached to all nations. NIRV 11 You will be arrested and brought to trial. NIV 11 Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. NIRV 12 "Brothers will hand over brothers to be killed. Fathers will hand over their children. Children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death. NIRV 20 If the Lord had not cut the time short, no one would live. But because of God's chosen people, he has shortened it. NIV 20 “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. NIRV 21 "At that time someone may say to you, 'Look! Here is the Christ!' Or, 'Look! There he is!' Do not believe it. NIV 21 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. NIRV 22 False Christs and false prophets will appear. NIRV 29 In the same way, when you see those things happening, you know that the end is near. It is right at the door. NIV 29 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that itis near, right at the door. NIRV 30 What I'm about to tell you is true.
