CEB 1 On the day when Moses finished setting up the dwelling, he anointed and made it holy. All its equipment, as well as the altar and all its equipment, he also anointed and made holy. CEB 4 The LORD said to Moses: NIV 4 The LORD said to Moses, CEB 5 Take these from them and use them for service in the meeting tent. Give them to the Levites according to their duties. NIV 5 “Accept these from them, that they may be used in the work at the tent of meeting. Give them to the Levites as each man’s work requires.” CEB 6 So Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and he gave them to the Levites. NIV 6 So Moses took the carts and oxen and gave them to the Levites. CEB 7 Two wagons and four oxen he gave to the Gershonites for their duty. NIV 7 He gave two carts and four oxen to the Gershonites, as their work required, CEB 8 Four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the Merarites for their duty under the supervision of Ithamar, Aaron the priest's son. CEB 9 But to the Kohathites he gave nothing because their duty concerned the holy things that had to be carried on the shoulders. CEB 10 The chiefs made their presentations for the dedication of the altar on the day it was anointed. The chiefs presented their offerings before the altar. NIV 10 When the altar was anointed, the leaders brought their offerings for its dedication and presented them before the altar. CEB 11 The LORD said to Moses: One chief per day will present their offering for the dedication of the altar. NIV 11 For the LORD had said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to bring his offering for the dedication of the altar.” CEB 12 The one presenting his offering on the first day was Nahshon, Amminadab's son, from the tribe of Judah. NIV 12 The one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon son of Amminadab of the tribe of Judah. CEB 13 His offering was one silver dish weighing one hundred thirty shekels, one silver basin weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering; NIV 13 His offering was one silver plate weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and one silver sprinkling bowl weighing seventy shekels, both according to the sanctuary shekel, each filled with the finest flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering; CEB 14 one gold bowl weighing ten shekels full of incense; NIV 14 one gold dish weighing ten shekels, filled with incense; CEB 15 one bull from the herd, one ram, and one year-old male lamb for an entirely burned offering; NIV 15 one young bull, one ram and one male lamb a year old for a burnt offering; CEB 16 one male goat for a purification offering; NIV 16 one male goat for a sin offering ; CEB 17 and for the well-being sacrifice two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. CEB 84 This is what the Israelite chiefs provided for the dedication of the altar on the day it was anointed: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver basins, and twelve gold bowls; NIV 84 These were the offerings of the Israelite leaders for the dedication of the altar when it was anointed: twelve silver plates, twelve silver sprinkling bowls and twelve gold dishes. CEB 85 each silver dish weighing one hundred thirty shekels and each basin seventy shekels—all the silver equipment weighed two thousand four hundred shekels according to the sanctuary shekel; NIV 85 Each silver plate weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, and each sprinkling bowl seventy shekels. Altogether, the silver dishes weighed two thousand four hundred shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel. CEB 86 the twelve gold bowls full of incense weighing ten shekels each according to the sanctuary shekel—all the gold of the bowls weighed one hundred twenty shekels; NIV 86 The twelve gold dishes filled with incense weighed ten shekels each, according to the sanctuary shekel. Altogether, the gold dishes weighed a hundred and twenty shekels. CEB 87 all the animals for the entirely burned offering were twelve bulls, twelve rams, twelve male lambs a year old, with their grain offering; twelve male goats for the purification offering; NIV 87 The total number of animals for the burnt offering came to twelve young bulls, twelve rams and twelve male lambs a year old, together with their grain offering. Twelve male goats were used for the sin offering. CEB 88 and all the animals for the well-being sacrifice were twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty male goats, and sixty male lambs a year old. This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed. NIV 88 The total number of animals for the sacrifice of the fellowship offering came to twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty male goats and sixty male lambs a year old. These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed. CEB 89 When Moses entered the meeting tent to speak with the LORD, he would hear the voice speaking to him from above the cover that was on the chest containing the covenant, from between the two winged creatures. In this way he spoke to Moses. NIV 89 When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law. In this way the LORD spoke to him.
