TMBA 1 Therefore, my dearly beloved and longedfor brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. NIV 1 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! TMBA 2 I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. NIV 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. TMBA 3 And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women who labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement also and with my other fellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life. NIV 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. TMBA 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, "Rejoice!" NIV 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! TMBA 5 Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. NIV 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. TMBA 6 Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. NIV 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. TMBA 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. NIV 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. TMBA 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. NIV 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. TMBA 9 Those things which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you. NIV 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. TMBA 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me hath flourished again; though ye always cared, ye lacked opportunity. NIV 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. TMBA 11 Not that I speak in respect to want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. NIV 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. TMBA 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. NIV 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. TMBA 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me. NIV 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. TMBA 14 Notwithstanding, ye have done well that ye participated in my affliction. NIV 14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. TMBA 15 Now ye Philippians know also that in the beginning of the Gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. NIV 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; TMBA 16 For even in Thessalonica, ye sent time and again unto my needs. NIV 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. TMBA 17 Not that I desire a gift, but I desire the fruit that may abound to your account. NIV 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. TMBA 18 But I have all, and abound; I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a sweet fragrance, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. NIV 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. TMBA 19 But my God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. NIV 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. TMBA 20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. NIV 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. TMBA 21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. NIV 21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus.
