Psalm 51

NAS 1 Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. NIV 1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. NAS 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin. NIV 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. NAS 3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me. NIV 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. NAS 4 Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. NAS 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. NIV 17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. NAS 18 By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. NIV 18 May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem. NAS 19 Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then young bulls will be offered on Your altar. NIV 19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.
