1 Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse, en disant:

0 And Hashem spoke unto Moshe, saying,
2 Au premier jour du premier mois, tu dresseras la Demeure du tabernacle d'assignation;

On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the Mishkan Ohel Mo’ed.
3 Et tu y mettras l'arche du Témoignage, et tu couvriras l'arche avec le voile.

And thou shalt place therein the Aron HaEdut, and thou shalt cover so as to screen the Aron with the Parochet.
4 Tu apporteras aussi la table, et tu y arrangeras ce qui doit y être arrangé; tu apporteras aussi le chandelier, et tu allumeras ses lampes.

And thou shalt bring in the Shulchan, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the Menorah, and kindle the Nerot thereof.
5 Et tu mettras l'autel d'or pour le parfum devant l'arche du Témoignage, et tu poseras la tapisserie de l'entrée de la Demeure.

And thou shalt place the Mizbe’ach Hazahav L’Ketoret before the Aron HaEdut, and set up the Masach HaPetach LaMishkan.
6 Et tu mettras l'autel de l'holocauste devant l'entrée de la Demeure du tabernacle d'assignation.

And thou shalt set the Mizbe’ach HaOlah before the Petach Mishkan Ohel Mo’ed.
7 Et tu mettras la cuve entre le tabernacle d'assignation et l'autel, et tu y mettras de l'eau.

And thou shalt set the Kiyor between the Ohel Mo’ed and the Mizbe’ach, and shalt place mayim therein.
8 Et tu placeras le parvis tout autour, et tu mettras la tapisserie à la porte du parvis.

And thou shalt set up the khatzer (court) all around, and hang up the Masach Sha’ar Hakhatzer.
9 Puis tu prendras l'huile de l'onction, et tu oindras la Demeure et tout ce qui y est, et tu la consacreras, avec tous ses ustensiles; et elle sera sainte.

And thou shalt take the Shemen HaMishchah, and anoint the Mishkan, and all that is therein, and shalt set it apart as kodesh, and all the utensils thereof; and it shall be kodesh.
10 Tu oindras aussi l'autel de l'holocauste et tous ses ustensiles, et tu consacreras l'autel; et l'autel sera très saint.

And thou shalt anoint the Mizbe’ach HaOlah, and all its utensils, and set apart as kodesh the Mizbe’ach: and it shall be Mizbe’ach kodesh kodashim.
11 Tu oindras aussi la cuve et sa base, et tu la consacreras.

And thou shalt anoint the Kiyor and its Stand, and set it apart as kodesh.
12 Puis tu feras avancer Aaron et ses fils à l'entrée du tabernacle d'assignation, et tu les laveras dans l'eau.

And thou shalt bring near Aharon and his banim unto the Petach Ohel Mo’ed, and immerse them with mayim.
13 Et tu revêtiras Aaron des vêtements sacrés, et tu l'oindras, et tu le consacreras, et il exercera devant moi la sacrificature.

And thou shalt dress Aharon with the Bigdei Hakodesh, and anoint him, and set him apart as kodesh; that he may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office.
14 Et tu feras avancer ses fils, et tu les revêtiras de tuniques;

And thou shalt bring near his banim, and dress them with kuttanot:
15 Et tu les oindras, comme tu auras oint leur père, et ils exerceront devant moi la sacrificature; et leur onction leur conférera une sacrificature perpétuelle, d'âge en âge.

And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their av, that they may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office: for their anointing shall surely be for them a kehunat olam throughout their dorot.
16 Et Moïse fit selon tout ce que l'Éternel lui avait commandé; il fit ainsi.

Thus did Moshe; according to all that Hashem commanded him, so did he.
17 Et au premier jour du premier mois, dans la seconde année, la Demeure fut dressée.

And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the Mishkan was erected.
18 Et Moïse dressa la Demeure, et mit ses soubassements, et posa ses planches, et mit ses traverses, et dressa ses colonnes.

And Moshe erected the Mishkan, and fastened its sockets, and set up the kerashim thereof, and put in the crossbars thereof, and set up its ammudim.
19 Et il étendit le tabernacle sur la Demeure, et il posa la couverture du tabernacle par-dessus, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he spread the Ohel over the Mishkan, and put the Mikhseh of the Ohel on it from above; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
20 Puis il prit aussi et mit le Témoignage dans l'arche, et il plaça les barres à l'arche, et il mit le propitiatoire sur l'arche, par-dessus.

And he took and placed HaEdut (The Testimony, i.e., the Stone Tablets of the Ten Commandments) into HaAron, and set the carrying poles on the Aron, and put the Kapporet upon the Aron from above;
21 Et il porta l'arche dans la Demeure, et posa le voile destiné à cacher le lieu très-saint, et couvrit l'arche du Témoignage, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he brought the Aron into the Mishkan, and set up the Parochet HaMasach, and shielded with a covering over the Aron HaEdut; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
22 Il mit aussi la table dans le tabernacle d'assignation, au côté Nord de la Demeure, en dehors du voile;

And he put the Shulchan in the Ohel Mo’ed, upon the north side of the Mishkan, outside the Parochet.
23 Et il arrangea sur elle une rangée de pains, devant l'Éternel, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he set the Lechem in order upon it before Hashem; as Hashem had commanded Moshe.
24 Il plaça aussi le chandelier dans le tabernacle d'assignation, vis-à-vis de la table, au côté Sud de la Demeure.

And he put the Menorah in the Ohel Mo’ed, opposite the Shulchan, on the south side of the Mishkan.
25 Et il alluma les lampes devant l'Éternel, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he set up the nerot (lamps) before Hashem; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
26 Il plaça aussi l'autel d'or dans le tabernacle d'assignation, devant le voile;

And he put the Mizbe’ach Hazahav in the Ohel Mo’ed before the Parochet;
27 Et il y fit fumer le parfum d'aromates, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he burned ketoret spices thereon; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
28 Il posa aussi la tapisserie de l'entrée de la Demeure.

And he set up the Masach HaPetach LaMishkan (Curtain of the Entrance of the Tabernacle).
29 Puis il plaça l'autel de l'holocauste à l'entrée de la Demeure du tabernacle d'assignation, et il y offrit l'holocauste et l'oblation, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

And he put the Mizbe’ach HaOlah at the Petach Mishkan Ohel Mo’ed, and offered upon it the olah (burnt offering) and the minchah; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
30 Il plaça aussi la cuve entre le tabernacle d'assignation et l'autel, et il y mit de l'eau pour laver;

And he set the Kiyor between the Ohel Mo’ed and the Mizbe’ach, and put mayim there, to wash withal.
31 Et Moïse et Aaron et ses fils en lavaient leurs mains et leurs pieds.

And Moshe and Aharon and his banim washed their hands and their feet thereat;
32 Quand ils entraient au tabernacle d'assignation, et qu'ils s'avançaient vers l'autel, ils se lavaient, comme l'Éternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.

When they went into the Ohel Mo’ed, and when they came near unto the Mizbe’ach, they washed; as Hashem commanded Moshe.
33 Il dressa aussi le parvis tout autour de la Demeure et de l'autel, et il mit la tapisserie à la porte du parvis. Ainsi Moïse acheva l'ouvrage.

And he erected the khatzer (courtyard) all around the Mishkan and the Mizbe’ach, and set up the Masach Sha’ar HaKhatzer. So Moshe finished the work.
34 Et la nuée couvrit le tabernacle d'assignation, et la gloire de l'Éternel remplit la Demeure;

Then the Anan covered the Ohel Mo’ed, and the Kavod Hashem filled the Mishkan.
35 De sorte que Moïse ne put entrer dans le tabernacle d'assignation, car la nuée se tenait dessus, et la gloire de l'Éternel remplissait la Demeure.

And Moshe was not able to enter into the Ohel Mo’ed, because the [Shekinah] cloud abode thereon, and the Kavod Hashem filled the Mishkan.
36 Or, pendant toutes leurs marches, quand la nuée s'élevait de dessus la Demeure, les enfants d'Israël partaient;

And when the Anan was taken up from over the Mishkan, the Bnei Yisroel went onward in all their journeys;
37 Mais si la nuée ne s'élevait point, ils ne partaient point, jusqu'au jour où elle s'élevait.
37
But if the Anan were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38 Car la nuée de l'Éternel était sur la Demeure pendant le jour, et le feu y était la nuit, aux yeux de toute la maison d'Israël, pendant toutes leurs marches.

For the Anan Hashem was upon the Mishkan by day, and Eish was on it by night, in the sight of all the Bais Yisroel, throughout all their journeys. T.N.
