Exodus 15:10-20

LXX 10 Thou sentest forth thy wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty water. NIV 10 But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. LXX 11 Who is like to thee among the gods, O Lord? who is like to thee? glorified in holiness, marvellous in glories, doing wonders. NIV 11 Who among the gods is like you, LORD? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? LXX 12 Thou stretchedst forth thy right hand, the earth swallowed them up. NIV 12 “You stretch out your right hand, and the earth swallows your enemies. LXX 13 Thou hast guided in thy righteousness this thy people whom thou hast redeemed, by thy strength thou hast called them into thy holy resting-place. NIV 13 In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. LXX 14 The nations heard and were angry, pangs have seized on the dwellers among the Phylistines. NIV 14 The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia. LXX 15 Then the princes of Edom, and the chiefs of the Moabites hasted; trembling took hold upon them, all the inhabitants of Chanaan melted away. NIV 15 The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away; LXX 16 Let trembling and fear fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm, let them become as stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till this thy people pass over, whom thou hast purchased. NIV 16 terror and dread will fall on them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone— until your people pass by, LORD, until the people you bought pass by. LXX 17 Bring them in and plant them in the mountain of their inheritance, in thy prepared habitation, which thou, O Lord, hast prepared; the sanctuary, O Lord, which thine hands have made ready. NIV 17 You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance— the place, LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established. LXX 18 The Lord reigns for ever and ever and ever. NIV 18 “The LORD reigns for ever and ever.” LXX 19 For the horse of Pharao went in with the chariots and horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought upon them the water of the sea, but the children of Israel walked through dry land in the midst of the sea. NIV 19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground. LXX 20 And Mariam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, having taken a timbrel in her hand—then there went forth all the women after her with timbrels and dances. NIV 20 Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.
