Hebrews 4:12-16

CEB 12 because God's word is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It penetrates to the point that it separates the soul from the spirit and the joints from the marrow. It's able to judge the heart's thoughts and intentions. NRS 12 Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. CEB 13 No creature is hidden from it, but rather everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we have to give an answer. NRS 13 And before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account. CEB 14 Also, let's hold on to the confession since we have a great high priest who passed through the heavens, who is Jesus, God's Son; NRS 14 Since, then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. CEB 15 because we don't have a high priest who can't sympathize with our weaknesses but instead one who was tempted in every way that we are, except without sin. NRS 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. CEB 16 Finally, let's draw near to the throne of favor with confidence so that we can receive mercy and find grace when we need help. NRS 16 Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
