Hebrews 4:6-8

RSVA 6 Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, NIV 6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, RSVA 7 again he sets a certain day, "Today," saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted, "Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." NIV 7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” RSVA 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not speak later of another day. NIV 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
