1 Liberación definitiva de Israel<br />¡Miren! ¡Se acerca un rey justo!,<br />y príncipes honrados gobernarán bajo su mando.

See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.
2 Cada uno será como refugio del viento<br />y resguardo de la tormenta;<br />como corrientes de agua en el desierto<br />y sombra de una gran roca en tierra reseca.

Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
3 Entonces todo el que tenga ojos podrá ver la verdad,<br />y todo el que tenga oídos podrá oírla.

Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
4 Hasta los impulsivos estarán llenos de sentido común y de entendimiento;<br />y los que tartamudean hablarán con claridad.

The fearful heart will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.
5 En aquel día, los necios que viven sin Dios no serán héroes;<br />los canallas no serán respetados.

No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
6 Pues los necios hablan necedades<br />y hacen planes malvados;<br />practican la impiedad<br />y difunden enseñanzas falsas acerca del Señor<br />;<br />privan de alimento a los hambrientos<br />y no dan agua a los sedientos.

For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the LORD; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.
7 Las sutiles artimañas de los canallas son maliciosas;<br />traman planes torcidos.<br />Mienten para condenar a los pobres,<br />aun cuando la causa de los pobres es justa.

Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.
8 Pero los generosos proponen hacer lo que es generoso<br />y se mantienen firmes en su generosidad.

But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.
9 Escuchen, mujeres, ustedes que están acostumbradas a la buena vida.<br />Escúchenme, ustedes que son tan engreídas.

You women who are so complacent, rise up and listen to me; you daughters who feel secure, hear what I have to say!
10 Dentro de poco tiempo, algo más de un año,<br />ustedes que son tan despreocupadas, de repente comenzarán a preocuparse.<br />Pues se perderán sus cultivos de frutas,<br />y no habrá cosecha.

In little more than a year you who feel secure will tremble; the grape harvest will fail, and the harvest of fruit will not come.
11 Tiemblen, mujeres de la buena vida;<br />abandonen su autosuficiencia.<br />Quítense sus ropas bonitas<br />y pónganse tela áspera en señal de su dolor.

Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your fine clothes and wrap yourselves in rags.
12 Golpéense el pecho con profunda pena por sus abundantes granjas<br />y por sus vides llenas de fruto.

Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vines
13 Pues su tierra se cubrirá de espinos y zarzas;<br />sus hogares alegres y ciudades felices desaparecerán.

and for the land of my people, a land overgrown with thorns and briers— yes, mourn for all houses of merriment and for this city of revelry.
14 El palacio y la ciudad quedarán abandonados,<br />y pueblos de mucha actividad estarán vacíos.<br />Los burros retozarán y las manadas pastarán<br />en los fuertes abandonados<br /> y en las torres de vigilancia,

The fortress will be abandoned, the noisy city deserted; citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever, the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,

till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.

The LORD’s justice will dwell in the desert, his righteousness live in the fertile field.

The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely,

how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.
