John 10:1-30

KJV 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ESV 1 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. KJV 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. ESV 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. KJV 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. ESV 3 To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. KJV 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. ESV 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. KJV 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. ESV 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." KJV 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. ESV 6 This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. KJV 7 Then said Jesus unto them again,Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. ESV 7 So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. KJV 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. ESV 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. KJV 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. ESV 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. KJV 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. ESV 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. KJV 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. ESV 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. KJV 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. ESV 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. KJV 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. ESV 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. KJV 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. ESV 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, KJV 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. ESV 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. KJV 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. ESV 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. KJV 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. ESV 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. KJV 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. ESV 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father." KJV 19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. ESV 19 There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. KJV 20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? ESV 20 Many of them said, "He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?" KJV 21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind? ESV 21 Others said, "These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?" KJV 22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. ESV 22 At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, KJV 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. ESV 23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. KJV 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. ESV 24 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." KJV 25 Jesus answered them,I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. ESV 25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, KJV 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. ESV 26 but you do not believe because you are not part of my flock. KJV 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: ESV 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. KJV 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ESV 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. KJV 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. ESV 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. KJV 30 I and my Father are one. ESV 30 I and the Father are one."
