John 3:16-21

LEB 16 For in this way God loved the world, so that he gave his one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but will have eternal life. NIV 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. LEB 17 For God did not send his Son into the world in order that he should judge the world, but in order that the world should be saved through him. NIV 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. LEB 18 The one who believes in him is not judged, but the one who does not believe has already been judged, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. NIV 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. LEB 19 And this is the judgment: that the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. NIV 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. LEB 20 For everyone who practices evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed. NIV 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. LEB 21 But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, in order that his deeds may be revealed, that they are done in God. NIV 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
