John 4:43-54

WEB 43 After the two days he went forth from there and went into Galilee. NIV 43 After the two days he left for Galilee. WEB 44 For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. NIV 44 (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) WEB 45 So when he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast. NIV 45 When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, for they also had been there. WEB 46 He came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. NIV 46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. WEB 47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. NIV 47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. WEB 48 Jesus therefore said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe." NIV 48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” WEB 49 The nobleman said to him, "Sir, come down before my child dies." NIV 49 The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” WEB 50 Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your son lives." The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. NIV 50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”The man took Jesus at his word and departed. WEB 51 As he was now going down, his servants met him and reported, saying "Your child lives!" NIV 51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. WEB 52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him." NIV 52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.” WEB 53 So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives." He believed, as did his whole house. NIV 53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed. WEB 54 This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judea into Galilee. NIV 54 This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.
