Leviticus 23:24-44

NAS 24 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. NIV 24 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts. NAS 25 'You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD .' " NIV 25 Do no regular work, but present a food offering to the LORD.’ ” NAS 26 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, NIV 26 The LORD said to Moses, NAS 27 "On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present an offering by fire to the LORD . NIV 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present a food offering to the LORD. NAS 28 "You shall not do any work on this same day, for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the LORD your God. NIV 28 Do not do any work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the LORD your God. NAS 29 "If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people. NIV 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people. NAS 30 "As for any person who does any work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. NIV 30 I will destroy from among their people anyone who does any work on that day. NAS 31 "You shall do no work at all. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places. NIV 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. NAS 32 "It is to be a sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your sabbath." NIV 32 It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.” NAS 33 Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, NIV 33 The LORD said to Moses, NAS 34 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD . NIV 34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD’s Festival of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. NAS 35 'On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. NIV 35 The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. NAS 36 'For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD . On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD ; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work NIV 36 For seven days present food offerings to the LORD, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present a food offering to the LORD. It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work. NAS 37 'These are the appointed times of the LORD which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to the LORD -burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each day's matter on its own day - NIV 37 (“ ‘These are the LORD’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing food offerings to the LORD—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings required for each day. NAS 38 besides those of the sabbaths of the LORD , and besides your gifts and besides all your votive and freewill offerings, which you give to the LORD NIV 38 These offerings are in addition to those for the LORD’s Sabbaths and in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings you give to the LORD.) NAS 39 'On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the LORD for seven days, with a rest on the first day and a rest on the eighth day. NIV 39 “ ‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to the LORD for seven days; the first day is a day of sabbath rest, and the eighth day also is a day of sabbath rest. NAS 40 'Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. NIV 40 On the first day you are to take branches from luxuriant trees—from palms, willows and other leafy trees—and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. NAS 41 'You shall thus celebrate it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. NIV 41 Celebrate this as a festival to the LORD for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month. NAS 42 'You shall live in booths for seven days; all the native-born in Israel shall live in booths, NIV 42 Live in temporary shelters for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters NAS 43 so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.' " NIV 43 so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’ ” NAS 44 So Moses declared to the sons of Israel the appointed times of the LORD . NIV 44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed festivals of the LORD.
