KJV 45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; NIV 45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. KJV 46 Saying unto them, It is written,My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. NIV 46 “It is written,” he said to them, “ ‘My house will be a house of prayer’; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’” KJV 47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, NIV 47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. KJV 48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him. NIV 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
