NRS 25 "There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on the earth distress among nations confused by the roaring of the sea and the waves. NIV 25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. NRS 26 People will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. NIV 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. NRS 27 Then they will see "the Son of Man coming in a cloud' with power and great glory. NIV 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. NRS 28 Now when these things begin to take place, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." NIV 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” NRS 29 Then he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees; NIV 29 He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. NRS 30 as soon as they sprout leaves you can see for yourselves and know that summer is already near. NIV 30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. NRS 31 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. NIV 31 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. NRS 32 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things have taken place. NRS 34 "Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day does not catch you unexpectedly, NIV 34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. NRS 35 like a trap. For it will come upon all who live on the face of the whole earth. NIV 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. NRS 36 Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." NIV 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
