Luke 24:30-35

NLT 30 As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. NIV 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. NLT 31 Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared! NIV 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. NLT 32 They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” NIV 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” NLT 33 And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them, NIV 33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together NLT 34 who said, “The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter. ” NIV 34 and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” NLT 35 Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread. NIV 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
