Mark 1:14-20

CEB 14 After John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee announcing God's good news, NIV 14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. CEB 15 saying, "Now is the time! Here comes God's kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!" NIV 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” CEB 16 As Jesus passed alongside the Galilee Sea, he saw two brothers, Simon and Andrew, throwing fishing nets into the sea, for they were fishermen. NIV 16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. CEB 17 "Come, follow me," he said, "and I'll show you how to fish for people." NIV 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” CEB 18 Right away, they left their nets and followed him. NIV 18 At once they left their nets and followed him. CEB 19 After going a little farther, he saw James and John, Zebedee's sons, in their boat repairing the fishing nets. NIV 19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. CEB 20 At that very moment he called them. They followed him, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired workers. NIV 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
