NAS 13 And He went up on the mountain and summoned those whom He Himself wanted, and they came to Him. NIV 13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. NAS 14 And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach, NIV 14 He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach NAS 15 and to have authority to cast out the demons. NIV 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. NAS 20 And He came home, and the crowd gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal. NIV 20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. NAS 21 When His own people heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, "He has lost His senses." NIV 21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” NAS 22 The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons." NIV 22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.” NAS 23 And He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? NIV 23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? NAS 24 "If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. NIV 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. NAS 25 "If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. NIV 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. NAS 26 "If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! NIV 26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. NAS 27 "But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house. NIV 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house. NAS 28 "Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; NIV 28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, NAS 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin "- NIV 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” NAS 30 because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit." NIV 30 He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.” NAS 31 Then His mother and His brothers arrived, and standing outside they sent word to Him and called Him. NIV 31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. NAS 32 A crowd was sitting around Him, and they said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You." NIV 32 A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.” NAS 33 Answering them, He said, "Who are My mother and My brothers?" NIV 33 “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked. NAS 34 Looking about at those who were sitting around Him, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! NIV 34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! NAS 35 "For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother." NIV 35 Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
