Matthew 9:31-38

NKJV 31 But when they had departed, they spread the news about Him in all that country. NIV 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region. NKJV 32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. NIV 32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. NKJV 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, "It was never seen like this in Israel!" NIV 33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” NKJV 34 But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons." NIV 34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.” NKJV 35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. NIV 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. NKJV 36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. NIV 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. NKJV 37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. NIV 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. NKJV 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." NIV 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
