1 La balanza falsa es abominación al SEÑOR, pero el peso cabal es su deleite.

Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.
2 Cuando viene la soberbia, viene también la deshonra; pero con los humildes está la sabiduría.

When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
3 La integridad de los rectos los guiará, mas la perversidad de los pérfidos los destruirá.

The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
4 De nada sirven las riquezas el día de la ira, pero la justicia libra de la muerte.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.
5 La justicia del íntegro enderezará su camino, pero el impío caerá por su propia impiedad.

The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
6 La justicia de los rectos los librará, mas los pérfidos en su codicia serán atrapados.

The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.
7 Cuando muere el hombre impío, su esperanza se acaba, y la expectación de los poderosos perece.

When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, And the hope of the unjust perishes.
8 El justo es librado de tribulación, y el impío toma su lugar.

The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead.
9 Con la boca el impío destruye a su prójimo, mas por el conocimiento los justos serán librados.

The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.
10 Con el bien de los justos, se regocija la ciudad, y cuando perecen los impíos, hay gritos de alegría.

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.
11 Por la bendición de los rectos, se enaltece la ciudad, pero por la boca de los impíos, es derribada.

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 El que menosprecia a su prójimo carece de entendimiento, pero el hombre prudente guarda silencio.

He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, But a man of understanding holds his peace.
13 El que anda en chismes revela secretos, pero el de espíritu leal oculta las cosas.

A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.
14 Donde no hay buen consejo, el pueblo cae, pero en la abundancia de consejeros está la victoria .

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
15 Ciertamente sufrirá el que sale fiador por un extraño, pero el que odia salir fiador está seguro.

He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, But one who hates being surety is secure.
16 La mujer agraciada alcanza honra, y los poderosos alcanzan riquezas.

A gracious woman retains honor, But ruthless men retain riches.
17 El hombre misericordioso se hace bien a sí mismo, pero el cruel a sí mismo se hace daño.

The merciful man does good for his own soul, But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
18 El impío gana salario engañoso, pero el que siembra justicia recibe verdadera recompensa.

The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.
19 El que persiste en la justicia alcanzará la vida, y el que va en pos del mal, su propia muerte.

As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
20 Los de corazón perverso son abominación al SEÑOR, pero los de camino intachable son su deleite.

Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, But the blameless in their ways are His delight.
21 Ciertamente el malvado no quedará sin castigo, mas la descendencia de los justos será librada.

Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.
22 Como anillo de oro en el hocico de un cerdo es la mujer hermosa que carece de discreción .

As a ring of gold in a swine's snout, So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.
23 El deseo de los justos es sólo el bien, la esperanza de los malvados es la ira.

The desire of the righteous is only good, But the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 Hay quien reparte, y le es añadido más, y hay quien retiene lo que es justo, sólo para venir a menos.

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.
25 El alma generosa será prosperada, y el que riega será también regado.

The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
26 Al que retiene el grano, el pueblo lo maldecirá, pero habrá bendición sobre la cabeza del que lo vende.

The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.
27 El que con diligencia busca el bien, se procura favor, pero el que busca el mal, le vendrá.

He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil.
28 El que confía en sus riquezas, caerá, pero los justos prosperarán como la hoja verde.

He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage.
29 El que turba su casa, heredará viento, y el necio será siervo del sabio de corazón.

He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, And the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
30 El fruto del justo es árbol de vida, y el que gana almas es sabio.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.
31 Si el justo es recompensado en la tierra, ¡cuánto más el impío y el pecador!

If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner.
