VUL 1 ipsi David benedic anima mea Domino et omnia quae intra me sunt nomini sancto eius NIV 1 Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you. VUL 2 benedic anima mea Domino et noli oblivisci omnes retributiones eius NIV 2 Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly. VUL 3 qui propitiatur omnibus iniquitatibus tuis qui sanat omnes infirmitates tuas NIV 3 For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers. VUL 4 qui redimit de interitu vitam tuam qui coronat te in misericordia et miserationibus NIV 4 My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food. VUL 5 qui replet in bonis desiderium tuum renovabitur ut aquilae iuventus tua NIV 5 In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones. VUL 6 faciens misericordias Dominus et iudicium omnibus iniuriam patientibus NIV 6 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins. VUL 12 quantum distat ortus ab occidente longe fecit a nobis iniquitates nostras NIV 12 But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. VUL 13 quomodo miseretur pater filiorum misertus est Dominus timentibus se NIV 13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. VUL 14 quoniam ipse cognovit figmentum nostrum recordatus est quoniam pulvis sumus NIV 14 For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity. VUL 15 homo sicut faenum dies eius tamquam flos agri sic efflorebit NIV 15 The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. VUL 16 quoniam spiritus pertransivit in illo et non subsistet et non cognoscet amplius locum suum NIV 16 For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. VUL 17 misericordia autem Domini ab aeterno et usque in aeternum super timentes eum et iustitia illius in filios filiorum NIV 17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea. VUL 18 his qui servant testamentum eius et memores sunt mandatorum ipsius ad faciendum ea NIV 18 Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD: VUL 19 Dominus in caelo paravit sedem suam et regnum ipsius omnibus dominabitur NIV 19 “The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, VUL 20 benedicite Domino angeli eius potentes virtute facientes verbum illius ad audiendam vocem sermonum eius NIV 20 to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.” VUL 21 benedicite Domino omnes virtutes eius ministri eius qui facitis voluntatem eius NIV 21 So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem VUL 22 benedicite Domino omnia opera eius in omni loco dominationis ipsius benedic anima mea Domino NIV 22 when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.
